The author also has an annoying habit of reiterating the same information in the next scene with a subtly different group of characters. will have a lot less circle jerking, introduce a more interesting villain/s and spend more time in Tempest, on the war and the civilisation building.

Rimaru being an idiot who's laziness is one of the primary drivers for conflict in the story is another point of frustration for me. There is already a colossal cast of characters so why not add another heap on the pile? Trying to care about all these bit part players is a real struggle as I try to remember the last lot. Trying to convince us that Yuuki is a credible villain and an interesting character is the most egregious example of this. There is a lot of tell don't show in this volume.
